2024 Spooktacular Warmup Information

Hello Swim Families!

 

Day one of the 2024 Spooktacular is in the books, and boy, was it fun! Marlins swimmers including Jack Dunn (50 freestyle), Olivia Shapkina (200 IM, 500 freestyle), Andrey Shapkin (200 IM, 500 freestyle), Cameron Pfannenstiel (200 IM, 50 freestyle, 500 freestyle), Philip Wolfe (50 freestyle), Vivi Wolfe (50 freestyle, 500 freestyle), and Eli Thurn (200 IM, 50 freestyle, 500 freestyle) all produced best times on Friday evening in Topeka! The fun continues tomorrow. Below is the warmup information for all upcoming sessions of the 2024 Spooktacular.

 

For those not competing in the meet, there is still practice at Genesis, supervised by Coach Myles.

 

Saturday & Sunday warmup information:

  • Saturday AM, 10/19 -- 12 & Under
    • Warm-up: 8:00-8:40 am
    • Lanes: 2 & 3, West Pool* (sharing with Lawrence Aquahawks!)
    • Meet Starts: 9:10 am
  • Saturday PM, 10/19 -- 13 & Over
    • Warm-up: 12:00-12:40 pm
    • Lane: 3, West Pool (sharing with Team Triumph)
    • Meet Starts: 1:10 pm
  • Sunday AM, 10/20 -- 12 & Under
    • Warm-up: 8:00-8:40 am
    • Lanes: 3 & 4, West Pool (all to ourselves!)
    • Meet Starts: 9:10 am
  • Sunday PM, 10/20 -- 13 & Over
    • Warm-up: 12:00-12:40 pm
    • Lanes: 7** & 8 (sharing with unattached swimmers--there will be 3 at most, and one is basically a Marlin)
    • Meet Starts: 1:10 pm

 

*West Pool = Deep end, blue lane lines, diving boards... where all races are swum.

**Where Coach Reid got his first Sectionals cut! ..... a million years ago in 2007.
