Pool Update 10/30/2024: Heater Still Broken; No Swimming, Dryland + Goal Meetings Tonight

Hello Swim Families!

As of this morning, the water in the pool at Genesis is still hovering around 72-73 degrees Fahrenheit. 

As a part of my never-ending professional development I am part of the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) and am currently participating in a coaching mentorship triad. I asked both of my mentor coaches how cold water has to be for them to cancel practice and they told me 76 degrees and 74 degrees Fahrenheit, respectively.

Therefore, similar to yesterday, we will have the baskeball court at Genesis from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. We will do dryland and play games and Coach Reid will also hold goal meetings with Platinum and Blue swimmers.

We understand this is a frustrating time and appreciate your patience.
