Genesis Pool Update, Timeline, & Plan Until Repaired

Hello Swim Families!

This is undoubtedly a frustrating time for us as we are swim team unable to swim.

I was informed by Genesis staff that the required part to repair the heater will arrive on Tuesday, November 5, meaning next Tuesday is our most optimistic deadline for swimming at Genesis.

Realistically, we are looking at a return to normal practice at Genesis on Wednesday, November 6.

Considering current circumstances and due to the holiday today, there will be NO PRACTICE ON THURSDAY, JULY 31, HALLOWEEN. Have fun trick-or-treating!

This is a frustrating situation for which we apologize, though we have some solutions.

Firstly, all 13 & Over Marlins swimmers are welcome to practice with the Topeka Swim Association at the Capitol Federal Natatorium. TSA’s “National Group” practices at the following times:

• Monday-Friday, 4:30 – 6:30 pm
• Saturday, 6:30 – 8:30 am

For all swimmers under the age of 13 or those who do not wish to make the drive to Topeka, we will continue our dryland sessions in Manhattan from 4:00 – 5:30 pm at Genesis.

Consider these dryland sessions as come-and-go as you please—a swimmer is not compelled to stay the entire time. The first 30 minutes will include dryland and bodyweight exercises, while the final 60 minutes will include games and team-building activities.

On Saturday, November 2, we will only hold a single one-hour dryland session from 8:15 – 9:15 am at Genesis. All groups are welcome to attend.
