Practice Update: Wednesday, January 8th

Hello Swim Families!

 

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8th, weather permitting, we will hold swim practice from 3:15 - 5:00 pm.

  • Blue: 3:15 - 5:00 pm
  • Platinum: 3:15 - 5:00 pm
  • White: 4:00 - 5:00 pm

I must stress that this is a tentative plan for practice tomorrow, contingent upon the roads being safe enough to drive.

As we all know, Allison Avenue--the street, or should I say hill--that Genesis sits upon is rather steep

We are opting for this earlier practice time because 1. Manhattan High School will not be holding practice so their time slot is open, and 2. finishing practice by 5:00 pm ensures that fewer families will have to drive in complete darkness. Wednesday's projected time of sunset is 5:23 pm.

We have chosen to have the White group swim from 4:00 - 5:00 in order to hopefully make logistics easier for working parents.

While the roads are slowly but surely clearing up, temperatures remain exceedingly low with Manhattan expected to reach a high of 20 degrees Fahrenheit and an overnight low of -4 degrees Fahrenheit.
