True Blue Igloo Updates -- IMPORTANT

Reid Carlson

Hello Swim Families!

The Friday session of the True Blue Igloo swim meet in Topeka has been CANCELLED!

All 8 & Under 25-yard events have been moved to immediately after their pursuant 100-yard distances on Saturday and Sunday. For example, the 8 & Under 25 Breaststroke will now immediately follow the 13 & Over 100 yard breaststroke (events 41 and 42, respectively, on Saturday).

The entries for events 5 & 6, the 13 & Over 50 Free, events 11 & 12, the 10 & Under 200 Free, and events 13 & 14, the 11-12 500 Free, have been to Saturday and Sunday combined with their counterparts in the other age groups for those days as appropriate.

The 1650 Free will be swam Saturday afternoon immediately prior to the start of warm ups for finals (similar to the protocol for National level meets). In other words, the 1650 free will be swam between prelims and finals on Saturday--like at the NCAA Championships!

All 8 & Under and 10 & Under events are TIMED FINALS ONLY, meaning they will not need to return for finals regardless of how high they place in the morning session.

Below is the revised warmup information for the 2025 True Blue Igloo in Topeka this weekend!

  • Saturday AM: Prelims – ALL AGE GROUPS (8 & Under; 10 & Under; 11-12; 13 & Over)

    • Meet Starts: 8:15 am

All swimmers must be on time for warmups! If you miss warmups there is nothing you can do until the warmup pool opens after the meet starts!

Please let me know if you have any questions, and I’ll see you at the pool!
