Swim Meet Information: McPherson & Manhattan, July 1 & July 2

Hello Swim Families!

Next week the Marlins will participate in two swim meets. On Tuesday, July 1st, we will travel to McPherson for the Aquapups Mid-Chance meet. Coach Reid will accompany swimmers at the meet that evening. Warmups will start at 5:00 pm and the meet will start at 6:15 pm. There are two warmup sessions: 5:00 - 5:20 pm and 5:20 - 5:40 pm. We have not yet been infrormed which session we have, so prepare to be there at 5:00 to be safe.

On Wednesday, July 2nd, the Marlins will host our first-ever summer league swim meet as a member of the Kaw Valley Swim League. It is not too late to sign up! Furthermore, we need volunteers to help with set-up, timing, and tear down. The other teams in the leauge have been helping us to prepare for this meet as well. Warmups will start at 6:15 pm and end at 6:30 pm. The meet will start shortly thereafter with the hope of finishing between 8:00 and 8:30 pm.

Originally, we were going to restrict participation in summer league meets to 12 & under swimmers; however, we are now allowing all Marlins to compete in these meets given that the other teams also allow for 13 & over swimmers, including TSA.

For swimmers competing in either or both of these swim meets, should you feel the need to take the following morning practice off, you have my blessing (though I'll still be there!).
