Chip has been a part of the Blue Wave Program since its beginnings in 1996. Chip started swimming at age 7 and swam age group until high school where he was a 3 year Letterman and State champion in 400 yard free his senior year. He qualified from 1968 Olympic trials in 400 meter IM, was a 4 year Letterman at University of Northern Colorado and a 3 time NCAA all American. He has 56 top 10 age group rankings in United States Masters Swimming. In addition to his time with Blue Wave he has coached locally at Park Hill H.S. from 1972-79, As a Summer league coach from 1970-79 and a USMS coach 1981 - present.
