New Midwestern Swimming Record!

A new Midwestern Swimming record has been set by GNSTʼs 11-12 year old girls 400 yard medley relay team with a time of 4:19.45. The 400 medley relay is 100 yards each of the four competitive swim strokes; backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and freestyle. Emma Vertin, 7th grader from Crete Middle School; Dannie Dilsaver, 6th grader from Scott Middle School; Linzie Kreizel, 7th grader from Lincoln Lutheran Middle School; and Caroline Theil, 5th grader from St. Joseph School, traveled to Brown Deer, Wisconsin, to compete in the 2011 Schroeder A+ meet. The girls, coached by Cal Bentz, also hold the record for the 10 & under girls 200 yard medley relay as well as several individual Midwestern Swimming age group records.
