Swimmers Compete at Sectionals

Congratulations to Aimee Fisher (age 15), Andrew Nelson (age 19), and Carly Twehous (age 15) who competed at the 2011 USA Swimming Central Section Region 8 Summer Long Course Speedo Championships (Sectionals) in Columbia, Missouri, from July 20-23.  Region 8 comprises of 5 LSC’s (Arkansas, Midwestern, Missouri Valley, Oklahoma, and Ozark) which includes the best swimmers from 7 states (Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma).  

All 3 swimmers represented GNST with some personal best times.  Aimee competed in the 50 Free, 400 Free, 800 Free (New GNST record), and 1500 Free with a personal best and another GNST record in the 200 Free; Andrew competed in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, 400 Free(a new GNST record), and 200 Back (a new GNST record); and Carly competed in the 100 Breast  and 200 Breast, with personal bests in the 50 Free and 100 Free.
