MW Qualifier Meet Info
Dear Midwestern Swimming Clubs:
ACE is looking forward to hosting you at the upcoming Midwestern Qualifier Meet on February 15-17. I wanted to provide you with some information prior to the meet so you could prepare for some changes from prior meets. Parking Common Ground has reserved the first section of the parking lot (west side) so it will not be available for swim meet parking. This area will be marked. There will be plenty of parking sections in the rest of the lot and the upper lot by the high school. To access the upper lot, continue through the Common Ground parking lot, up the hill by the baseball field. Please do not park along the road on Veteran’s Drive, on any grass areas or in the building fire lane.
Crash Area for Swimmers and Parents During the AM and PM sessions, swimmers must use the gym for the crash area. Swimmers may not use the pool deck for a crash area. They may be on the pool deck to cheer for team mates, just no personal items on the pool deck. The gym area is also open for parents. Please bring chairs, coolers, blankets etc. for the gym crash area. Crash area items (chairs, blankets etc) may be left overnight in the gym only. Camping style chairs will not be allowed in the viewing stands, only stadium seats that sit on the bleachers can be used in the viewing stands. Food and drink is allowed in gym and the viewing stands.
Pool event information will be available in the gym via a live video camera feed of the scoreboard that will be projected on a wall. Swimmers will have access to the pool deck directly from the gym by entering a room just past the concession stand area. This room is not to be used as a crash area. Parents will have access to the viewing stands via stairs located directly across from the Common Ground welcome desk or by the main building entrance. There will be signs posted to assist with directing everyone to these entrances. Results For spectators, results will be posted in the gym. For swimmers and others on deck, results will be posted on the white boards located on the walls of the pool deck.
Apparel/Concessions/Photos Pure Blue Swim (www.pureblueswim.com) will be set-up in the gym selling suits and equipment. Weihl Photography will be onsite for action swim photos.Fine Designs will be in the gym selling meet shirts.
Common Ground will provide concessions including pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks, candy, chips, and beverages. Timers You club will be required to provide timers for this meet. Information about required timers will be sent in a separate email.
