Parent meeting and other reminders!

Good morning Wahoo Families!

Hope you are all staying warm and safe in this winter wonderland we’re having!!

Just wanted to send out an email with a few upcoming reminders: 

  1. We have a Mike Stromberg pop-up swim clinic this weekend Dec 13-14. This is a great opportunity for your swimmers to continue to develop some of those swim techniques they have been working on as well as their starts and turns. If you are in town please consider joining us!! All proceeds will go directly to the Wahoo Swim Team. Please see our website for details.
  2. Parent meeting this SUNDAY Dec 14th at 4pm at the Choice community room. We will be reviewing how the season has been going, upcoming meets and some changes to the schedule. 
  3. We currently have 2 Board of Director member terms that are expiring this month, so we are looking for nominations! Please email the board with any nominations you may have. We will talk more about this at the Parent meeting but you can start your nominations now. 
  4. We have 2 upcoming volunteer opportunities for families: 
    1. Salvation Army Bell Ringer at Scheels: Saturday December 20th from 5:30-9pm: we have set up 30min time slots for your swimmer and anyone in the family that wants to participate!! Come ring the bell, promote holiday spirit and get some shopping in too! Details under the events tab and you can sign up under Jobs
    2. Pizza Ranch Fundraiser: Monday December 29th from 5-8pm; there are 2 time slots for your swimmer and chaperon to sign up on our website under the Jobs tab. Please note that all volunteers must be over the age of 9 and anyone between 9-11 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. You must wear closed toed shoes and your hair must be pulled back. Come help raise money, promote the team and have a fun night!
