RRV Wahoo Board of Directors

Hello Wahoo families, 

Hope everyone’s first week of swim practice is off to a great start.

Just wanted to send some updates: 

  1. Thank you to everyone for voting last week! Based on the election results, we welcome Amber Norton & Mike Stromberg to the Board of Directors. If you would like to see the full election details and results, please email the board and we will be happy to share that information. 

Also new to the Board of Directors, as was introduced at the Dec 14th 2025 Parent Meeting: Mark Schill. He will be assuming the remainder of Nancy’s term on the board as she and her family will be relocating to Iowa this summer.

There will be a Board of Directors’ meeting next Wednesday to form the next executive committee. 

  1. The Wahoo website has now been updated with all the Parent and Board Meeting minutes of 2025 as well as the club’s bylaws. Apologies for the delay on posting those.  

 

  1. Meet sign up for the remainder of meets for the SC season are up and posted, make sure you declare your swimmers so coaches are aware of who will be attending so events can be selected. Please pay close attention to meet registration deadlines so you do not miss out.

 

  1. Our Funds4Shoes Fundraising drive is going on strong! We are up to 11 bags of shoes … our goal is 100 bags and we have until March 15th so please continue to canvas your neighborhoods, friends, colleagues and schools so that we can reach our goal. Every 25 pairs of shoes collected will earn you a booster hour! 

 

  1. State swim caps have already been ordered so they are here in time for the 10&U SC State Championships.

 

  1. Wahoo State t-shirts are on the website under the “buoyant by nature” tab on the main page; they are the first 2 items under that site tab and are ready to order for anyone that wants one in time for state!
