Milford Rotary Meet Results
The results from the annual Milford Rotary meet are in and the Sailifsh swam to a 3rd place finish at this meet.
This was a scored meet with the top 12 places scoring points. It was also divided up, by team size, into 3 divisions. Division 1 was the smallest teams, which is the divisuion we were in. Swimmers were competing against swimmers in their divisions for the scoring places.
The 8 & unders at this meet were Juliet Delude and Kevin Ward. Juliet had a great meet, swimming to two 1st places (50 free & 25 fly) and a 2nd (25 back), with a PR in the 50 free. Way to go Juliet! Kevin grabbed a 1st in the 50 free and 2nd in the 25 back. Nice going Kevin!
Our 9-10 swimmers were: Chloe Adler & Addison Larochelle. Chloe took home 2nd in the 100 IM and 50 free and 3rd in the 50 breast, with PRs in all 3 events. Good job Chloe! Addie took home 5th in the 100 IM, 4th in the 50 free and 2nd in the 50 breast, with PRs in the 50 free & breast. Nice work Addie!
The 11-12 group was: London Clark, Isabella Delude & Delana Girouard. London grabbed 7th in the 50 free and 2nd in the 50 breast with a nice PR in the breast. Way to go London! Izzy got 1st in both the 50 back & 50 fly and 2nd in the 100 free with PRs in the free and fly swims. Nice going Izzy! Delana came to swim, and was one of our triple winners, with wins in the 200 IM, where she dropped over a minute in time from two weeks ago and 10 seconds from the last time she swam it. She also took home gold in the 50 free and breast with PRs there as well. That nice big PR in the 200 IM makes Delana our biggest loser for this meet! Way to go Delana!
The 13-14 swimmers were: Benjamin Delude, Molly Key & Riley Pope. Ben had a good day in the pool with 1st in both the 50 free & 100 fly, with PRs in both swims. He also grabbed 2nd in the 100 back with a PR there as well. NIce work Ben! Molly put up a sweep of the top three places with a 1st in the 100 breast, 2nd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 free. Good job Molly! Riley took home two 1st (200 IM 7 100 free) and a 2nd (100 breast). Good work Riley!
The 15-19 group was: Tim Dodd, Emily Hou, & Molly Mosgrober. Tim was another triple winner with 1st place finishes in the 100 back, 50 free nad 100 fly, with a PR in the back. Nice job Tim! Molly swam to 2nd place in her 3 events with swims in the 200 IM, 100 back & 50 free, with a PR in the 50 free. Nice work Molly!
We placed 3rd over all (by 20 points) which was a pretty good finish considering we didn't have any relays, which score double the points of the individual events. We had 3 triple winners and some pretty good PRs with Delana Girouard grabbing biggest loser honors for her great swim in the 200 IM. Congrats to all the Sailfish who swam at this meet.
Also a big thank you to those who stepped up to time for us, they were: Bob Schallen, Megan Ward & Katie Dodd. I say this all the time because it's very true, but we couldn't have a meet without volunteer timers so thank you for helping out!
Finally a big thank you to Aaron Pope for officiating at this meet. This is another critical job that allows our swimmers to compete at meets. Thank you Aaron!
