15-19 NEW ENGLAND AGE GROUPS:  Worcester, MA @ WPI, MARCH 7-10:

Congrats to all swimmers from ESC on an outstanding job at this New England meet!  The Team finished in the top ten, and boys were FIFTH overall!  "SWIM OF THE MEET" is shared by both Emmie Goucher and Alex Uhlmann.  Swimming in the same lane, a heat apart, both girls SMASHED the 200 Backstroke Sectional cut in under five minutes, back to back!  This was both their first ever Sectional cut time so it was very exciting for the team.  Emmie dropped 2.62 and Alex, 3.16.  Alex also added a second cut in the 100 Backstroke on Sunday night.
Dylan Belair made the most of his 15th Birthday by also reaching his first ever Sectional time in Thursday night's 1000 Free.  He dropped five seconds to make the cut with a 9:58.78, from his time at the 11-14 Age Group meet.  He also swam in the Championship final of the 1650 Free.
Swimming at her "home" pool next year, Milena Whitney swam a personal best, and had a third place finish with her 1:05.59 100 Breaststroke.  Ryan Powers swam in three Championship finals (100-200-500 Freestyles, all with personal bests and in ESC's all-time top ten.  Eddie Barnes added two Sectional times in the 200 and 500 Freestyles.  Ethan Steichen swam in the Championship final for the 100 Backstroke, dropping his best to a 52.60.  He also dropped over two seconds in the 200 event with a 1:54.64.  Dylan Fung swam some amazing drops in four finals:  100 Breast, 200 Breast (-4), 400 IM (-4) and a very determined 200 IM, dropping four seconds between prelims and finals (1:56.16).  Will Erdtmann dropped eight seconds in the 400 IM (4:16.90), 19 in the 500 Free (4:48.96), and swam personal bests in both breaststrokes and the 200 Fly (1:56.23).  Andrew Gordon swam in the finals of the 200 Freestyle, barely missing the cut with a personal best of 1:46.61.  He added bests in the 100 Free and 100 Backstrokes.
Lily Peterson swam in two finals, the 100 and 200 Breaststrokes. In her first ever Age Groups, Emma Conway swam in the 100 Breaststroke finals, narrowly missing Sectionals with a 1:08.44.  Meredith Lubelczyk dropped three seconds in the 500 Free, and also had two other finals in thr 400 IM and 100 Breaststroke.  Addi Ebol swam in the Championship final of the 100 Breaststroke.  Her time in the 400 IM was on ESC's all-time top ten.
Also swimming was Richie Black (bests in 200 Breast, 100 Fly, 100 Back), Tyler Chun (bests in 50 and 100 Free, 100 Fly, and -4 in the 200 Fly), Ben Adamonis (best time in the 100 Backstroke), Rainey Schaeffner (best in 100 Free), Lena Thompson (best in 100 Fly), and both Maxwell Bilsbury and Evan Allen swam on the top five 200 Freestyle Relay.

NEW ENGLAND GOLD CHAMPIONSHIP:  Exeter, NH @ PEA, MARCH 10:

Great job to a small contingent of swimmers in this new meet!   Charlotte Thompson is awarded "SWIM OF THE MEET" for her finals appearance in the 50 Fly.  She dropped two full seconds in swimming a 31.98--the same as her freestyle time!  Super job Charlotte!  Jack Ablondi dropped seven seconds between prelims and finals in his 200 Backstroke.  Hannah Baron won the 200 Breaststroke, and also dropped in both the 100 Free and 200 Backstroke.  Maecyn White had a two second drop in the 200 Backstroke.  Edward Goucher won the 1000 Freestyle and Selma Kruscica dropped four seconds in the 200 Backstroke, and PRed in the 100 Freestyle.
