NHSA Team Championships! ESC's 10th!

Congratulations to ESC on it's 10th NHSA (New Hampshire Swim Association) title, and third straight!  The team amassed 4,032 points to outdistance themselves by 1,392 points from it's nearest competitor.  The meet was held at Upper Valley Aquatic Center, in White River Junction, VT.  A special shout out to ESC's graduating Seniors:  Meredith Lubelczyk (12 seasons) and Richie Black (13 seasons) were both the NHSA Essay Scholarship Essay winners.  Milena Whitey (12 seasons), Evan Allen (13 seasons), Dylan Fung (3 season with NHSA), Maxwell Bilsbury (8 NHSA seasons), and Lily Peterson (4 NHSA seasons) also will graduate in June and complete their ESC experience.
For the 8 and Under age group, Tommy Hardie had two wins in both the 25 and 50 Freestyles.  Will Calhoun added a win in the 25 Breaststroke.  Harper Casella had three top 8 finishes.  Evan Babis had an 8th in the 25 Backstroke, and Cece Ware (best in 25 Freestyle) and Zerina Idrizovic (best in 25 Butterfly).
     Pacing the 9-10 age group was:  Lucas Anderson (2 firsts), Caroline Manseau (2 firsts), Wyatt WIggin (1st in 50 Fly), and Isla Robinson (1st in 50 Backstroke).  Swimming best times were Ethan Brelsford (-5 seconds in the 100 Free), Brendon MacLeod (-4 50 Free), Natalie Rosswaag (-10 in 100 IM), Andrew Sousa (-3 100 Free), Edin Idrizovic (2 top 3 finishes), Madison  Hunter (100 Free best), Hayden Micko (50 Breast best), Layla Scollan (-3 100 Free), Ava Vessells (50/100 Free best), Maia Segarceanu (-3 50 Breast), Lily Wolf and Avery Cutting.
     The 11-12's were led by:  Sofia Tovtyn (winning all three of her events with best times, and subtracting 11 seconds off her 200 IM), Zoe Chun (50 Fly winner and -14 off 200 IM), Charlotte Chang (2 second place finishes and -8 in 200 IM), Connor Welch (three top 6 finishes), Charlotte Thompson (-33 200 IM, 4th in 50 Fly), Evan Novak (3 top 8 finishes and -4 in 50 Breast), Kaitlyn Bilsbury (50 Back and 100 Free best times), Harper Rowe (2 bests and three top 8 finishes), Alex Ionescu (3 bests and 5th in 50 Breast), and Paisley Silva (-4 in her 4th place 200 Free).  Also dropping time was Jeffrey Zhang (-20 seconds in 50 Back), Aiden Lee (-5 in 50 Fly), Elin Metcalfe (-10  200 IM), Lucian Shursky (-31 100 Free), Avery Phillips (-15 in 100 Free), Grace Gauthier (all 3 bests and -6 100 Free, Ella Ebol (2 bests), Abby Chalson (-3 100 Free), Lorelei Brown (-21 200 Free), Beau Bourget (-5 100 Free), Matty Boucher (-11 100 Free), Anna Hinton (-34 200 Free), Andrew Rosswaag (2 bests), Sydney Pelletier (-6 50 Back), Natalie ThompsonGrace Ablondi, Riley Chandler, and Greg Thomas.  Max Dang may have been the most improved with -17 50 Fly, -9 100 Free, and -7 50 Free!
     The 13-14 age group was led by:  Caden Chang (1st in 100 Back, 100 Free, 3 best times), Aidan Chapman (first in 200 IM with subtracting 4 second, 50 Free, 3 over all bests), Jack Ablondi (first in 200 Free, 100 Breast, three best times), Patten Bilsbury, (4 bests and 500 Free winner), Hannah Baron (50 Free winner, -25 in 500 Free), Maecyn White (-49! in 500 Free, 2nd place in 100 Back), Kylie Vaske (3rd in 200 Free), Vivian Carelton (3rd, 200 IM), Brooks Hardie (4 bests, -11 500 Free), Selma Kruscica (4th in both 50 and 100 Free), Caleb Hinton (5th in 40 Free), Gabe Brelsford (-17 500 Free, 4 overall bests), Ryan Holguin (-5 100 Free), Elaina Kelliher (-13 100 Back), Nishil Majmundar (4 bests, -15 in 500 Free), Eli Marziano (8th in 200 IM), Gunnar Pelletier (-4 100 Free), Lyndsay Therrien (-7 100 Back), Colin Turner (4th 100 Back), Seby Shursky, and Dylan Rees
     The 15-18, and largest group for the team scored many points.  The girls, going 1-2 in both relay events had several first places. Lena Thompson, (100 Butterly), Emma Conway (100 Breast, 200 IM), Emmie Goucher (100 Backstroke, best of 59.45), Alex Uhlmann (100 Free & 3 best times), Meredith Lubelczyk (1st 200 IM, best time), Milena Whitney (1st 100 Breaststroke).  Also placing high for points was Jessie Black (3rd 100 Fly), Julia Malnar (4th 100 Breast), Izzy Mailoux (7th 100 Fly), Madelyn Northcott (5th 200 IM), Rainey Schaeffner (2nd 500 Free, -12!).  Improvement was shown by Olivia Shippos (3 bests, -14 in 500), Addi Ebol (2 bests), Elma Islamovic, Lily Peterson (best in 50 Free), and Dakota Scribner (3 bests, -2 100 Breast).
     Boys, also 1-2 in both relay events, had superb showings by:  Ethan Steichen (1st 200 IM, -6 seconds, also dropping 6 in 100 Breaststroke), Eddie Barnes (3 bests, -7 200 IM), Dylan Belair (3 best, -8 in 200 IM), Will Erdmtann (4 bests), Ryan Powers (2 wins, and -6 in 200 IM), Andrew Gordon (first in 200 Free), Jack Mortimer (1st in 500 Free, dropping 20 seconds), Dylan Fung (first in 100 Back and 100 Breast), Max Bilsbury (2nd 50 Free), Evan Allen (100 Free best time), Edward Goucher (-7 500 Free), Faris Kruscica (-9 100 Free), Logan Pray (3 bests, -2 in 100 Free), Ben Adamonis (1st 100 Fly), Richie Black (2 bests, -2 100 Free), Tyler Chun (-4 200 IM), Brandon Tobin (three best times, and -9 in 200 IM).
ESC won 12 of the 20 relay events.  Congrats to all who competed and made it such a successful season!
