Eastern Zone SECTIONALS !
Great performance to all ESC athletes competing in the Eastern Zone Long Course Sectionals in Buffalo, NY! Executive was reprensted by 13 qualifying athletes in this meet outside New England. The swimmers finished in the top ten as a team, with the boys in 7th place overall.
Ryan Powers, Dylan Fung, Ethan Steichen, and Edward Barnes combined for a team record in the 200 Medley Relay, swimming a 1:52.35. Another team record was set by Powers, Steichen, Barnes, and Ben Adamonis in the 200 Freestyle relay, finishing with a 1:39.57.
Individually, Addison Ebol scored a second place finish in the 200 meter Breaststroke, with a personal best time of 2:40.12. She added a third place in the 100 meter Breaststroke, 1:13.88.
Also swimming in finals was Steichen, dropping to a 1:01.59 100 meter Backstroke. Ryan Powers swam personal bests in the 50 (24.85), 100 (54.59), and 200 (2:01.15) Freestyles. Dylan Fung had top finishes in both Medley events (200 IM 2:16.90, and 400 IM 4:59.53). Meredith Lubelczyk had personal best times in the 200 meter Butterfly and 400 Ind. Medley, both making ESC's all-time top ten. Emmie Goucher did the same in the 400 Ind. Medley, and 100 and 200 Backstroke. Alex Uhlmann was a finalist in both Backstroke events, as well as the 100 Breaststroke. Will Erdtmann dropped two seconds in his 200 Butterfly (2:13.57), swimming in finals. He also had best times in the 200 Ind. Medley, and both the 100 and 200 Breaststrokes. Lily Peterson swam in both Breaststroke finals (100 and 200), also with a best time in the 100 Freestyle. Edward Barnes had a best time in the 200 Freestyle, and also swam on five relays. Dylan Belair competed in the 800 and 1500 Freestyles, and had a best time in the 50 Freestyle. Along with his relay events, Ben Adamonis swam best times in the 50 and 100 meter Freestyles, 100 Butterfly, and 100 Backstroke. Tyler Chun competed in four relay events, and had bests in the 50 and 100 Freestyles and 100 Butterfly.
