Superb opening meet for JUNIORS & SENIORS at WPI this weekend!  To all swimmers:  Continue this momentum with goals and keep this excitement!  Continue going to practice, having fun, and FOCUSING on details!
Welcome Connar St. Laurent, Arthur Thompson, and Mark Costello on their first Executive meet--we look forward watching you improve!
In a close race for "SWIM OF THE MEET", Natalie Thompson was chsen for her 50 Breaststroke.  After going all last short course season chasing a cut for 11-12 girls, and not getting her goal--Natalie made the most of her first meet as a 13 year old, and taking advantage of the new 50 stroke events.  She made the cut in the 50 Breaststroke with a fast 34.52, .07 under the cut!  Natalie also had six other best times, including -21 seconds in the 200 Free.
Way to go Natalie!
Other SUPER-improvement standouts were:  Elaina Kelliher (7 best times, including -12 200 Free, -5 100 Free, and -8 in both 100 Back & Breast), Connor Welch (NINE best times including -18 500 Free, -9 100 Back, -28 200 Breast, -6 200 Free, and -4 100 Free), and Maia Segarceanu (8 best times--: -26 200 Free, -17 100 Breast, -15 100 IM, -14 100 Free).
Also swimming many personal bests were:  Alex Ionescu (eight overall and -31 500 Free), Henry Bump (seven, and -21 100 Fly), Lucas Davenport (seven bests), Caroline Manseau (six, -17 100 IM), Pailey Silva (eight bests), Shea Shultz (six bests, -15 100 IM, -11 100 Fly), Wyatt Wiggin (nine bests, -28 500 Free, -6 200 IM), Isla Robinson (nine bests, -25 1000 Free, -8 100 Fly), Brooks Hardie (-9 1000 Free), Grace Ablondi (-8 100 Breast, -4 50 Free), Lucas Anderson (six bests, -4 100 Breast), Charlotte Chang (four bests, 1 first, and -9 500 Free), Elin Metcalfe (eight bests, -7 200 IM), Charlotte Thompson (six bests), August Swinehart (five bests), Nishil Majmundar (4), Selma Kruscica (4), Lorelei Brown (-9 50 Fly), Kaitlyn Bilsbury (-9 100 Breast), Zoe Chun (3), Gabe Brelsford (3), and Joe Blahnik (-7 50 Fly).  
Senior swimmers shining were:  Andrew Gordon (3 bests, and new Senior cut in 400 IM), Patten Bilsbury (-16 1000 Free & new AG cut), Edward Goucher (-7 400 IM, five overall bests), Alex Uhlmann (personal best 200 IM), Jack Ablondi (5 bests), Tyler Chun (3), Emma Conway (3), Caden Chang (2), Emmie Goucher (2), Aidan Chapman (2), Will Erdtmann (2), and Colin Turner (2).
