13-19 Championships Day 2

Friday proved to be another successful day for EST at the New England 13-19 Age Group Championships.  The day started off with the 100 butterfly: Sam (1:04.28), Patrick (1:02.06), Zach (1:00.95) and CJ (59.04) all had personal bests in the prelim session with Kellen and CJ qualifying for finals.  In the finals Kellen posted a personal best (59.65) to win his heat and finish 9^th and CJ also posted another personal best to finish 3^rd overall in 57.81.  CJ’s time was a new team record and a bonus cut for Junior Nationals.

In the 100 Breast, both Sam (1:16.58) and Patrick (1:11.54) posted best times.  Patrick’s time was a new team record and qualified him for the “A” final where he placed 7^th overall in 1:12.1. 

In the 400 IM CJ qualified 8^th in 4:50.46 which was a new team record.  Hannah Deschenes also swam the IM placing 30^th  and just off her time in 5:38.59.  The day finished with the 400 freestyle relay where the team of Bri Thompson (1:05.19), Meghan Gray(1:04.44), Mara Patterson(1:05.78) and Tessa Oakes (1:02.77) placed 18^th in 4:18.17.  The Boys team of Kellen (56.09), Sam (57.81), Zach (55.42) and CJ (54.28) placed 4^th overall in 3:43.60 which was a new team record and cut 4 seconds off the time that they did two weeks ago at New England Seniors.
