4 Team Records set Friday at WPI!
EST swimmers kicked off the WPI meet with a great distance session on Friday night. Ethan Thompson led the way setting both the 1000 (12:20) and 1650 (20:31) records for the 11-12 boys. On the 11-12 girls side Emily Metivier broke the 1000 free by 10 seconds (12:21.63). Zach Bishop added the 4th record of the evening with his 17:23.93 in the 1650. The record Zach broke has been on the books since 1987!
Although many of our swimmers were swimming distance events for the first time there were a lot of personal bests set on the way to completing the longer distances. The following swimmers had best times tonight: Kayla Metivier (500, 1000, 1650), Hannah Deschenes (500, 1000, 1650), Ethan Thompson (500, 1000, 1650), Emily Metivier (500, 1000), Tessa Oakes (500, 1000),Alex Bouvier (500, 1000), Zach Bishop (1650) & Jacob Bishop (500, 1000)
