BWTD Coaches Selected for State and Nationwide Honors

Hello BWTD Swimmers and Families,

Over the last few weeks, BWTD has had two coaches selected for honors across the state and country, and we'd like to recognize them and congratulate them for their hard work and dedication to the sport of swimming.

Late last month, Coach David was selected by the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) as one of nine coaches nationwide to participate in the Timothy Welsh Fellowship Program for 2025-2026. He will be attending the ASCA World Clinic this September in Reno, Nevada, and will then take part a yearlong research project, with this year's focus being on coaching retention in the hopes of finding ways to keep the greatest swimming minds in the sport.

This past week, Coach Malhar was selected to be one of the coaches for New Jersey Swimming's All-Star Team at Eastern Zones Age Group Championships this August in Richmond, Virginia. He will be working with the top swimmers in our LSC and will travel with the team as they hope to win another Eastern Zones title. Coach Malhar is the second BWTD coach to be named an All-Star Team coach, and this will be the third time we have had a coach on the NJSwimming staff (Coach Ana was previously selected twice).

We are proud of our coaches achievements these past few weeks, and we thank you for being such a great group of swimmers and parents to work with. Coach David and Coach Malhar are excited to share the knowledge they receive with our team in the upcoming season!
