Casandra Romero

DIRECTOR OF FLAMENCO, LIGHTING TECH & COLLABORATIVE MEMBER

Casandra Romero a native Taoseńa. Graduated from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque with a BA in Spanish and Dance emphasizing in Flamenco. She works professionally as a stage manager and lighting designer for performing arts companies throughout New Mexico. Professional experience includes plays/ballets such as The Nutcracker, Little Shop of Horrors, The Producers, Civil War, A Christmas Carol, Night of a 1000 Stars, The Jungle Book, Thumbelina, Peter Pan and companies such as Musical Theater Southwest, UNM Dance, NIF Festival Flamenco, Wild Dancing West, Revolutions International Film Festival, Working Class Theater, Taos Childrens Theater and of course Taos Youth Ballet. She also holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Environmental Management. Together with the programming of Rocky Mountain Youth Corps and TYB Casandra strives to bring quality art, education, dance and theater programming to the youth and community of Taos County.
