One year and 54 days later...We race again!

Rick Aronberg

After over a year, our swimmers are back racing again. Many teams throughout the country are still not back in the water, while we were lucky to get back in and start up again this past January.

The City Swim Project is a combination of a tremendous swim lesson program and a new competitive team this year named (Buffalo TIDE).

This past weekend, we had five of our TIDE swimmers compete at the University of Buffalo in the meet against two other teams. Our swimmers had some nerves at the beginning after being out of the racing scene for over a year, but once they dove off the blocks, the competitive juices started flowing fast.

We also had the incredible energy given to us by Mrs.Visiko with the ultimate Uncrustables she shared with the swimmers. We had so many best times and you could see the enjoyment throughout the meet from our kids. This is only just the beginning!

Overall, we had 13 new best times and 9 new top 5 all time swims

NEW TOP 5 All Time swims were accomplished by: 11 & 12 girls - Sydney Wilson - 50 free, 200 free, 50 back, 13 & 14 girls - Lalaina Kwiatowski - 50 free, 200 free, 50 back, 15 & 16 girls - Mya Warta - 50 free, 200 free, 15 & 16 boys - Anthony Visiko - 50 back.
