2026 Victor Swim Club Swim-A-Thon

Attention all swim families! Our annual Swim-a-Thon will be held on Tuesday, February 24th and ALL groups will be participating! Our goal is 100% participation!
The Swim-a-Thon is our final fundraiser of the year! We were able to eliminate our third fundraiser two years ago due to the success of the Swim-A-Thon. Let’s continue this trend by working together to reach our goal of raising $25,000 for our club! TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL, WE NEED TO AVERAGE $300 IN DONATIONS PER FAMILY. We strongly encourage all families to participate by collecting pledges, but the buyout option is available as well (full buyout is $200; the buyout will be prorated if a family collects less than $200 in pledges). Our top fundraiser earned $2,500 last year! Let’s see if anyone can break this record!
WHAT IT IS:
The Swim-a-Thon™ is the only pledge-for-length swimming program recognized by the USA Swimming Foundation. Since 2008, Swim-a-Thons have generated more than $72 million for swim clubs and swim programs across the country. Additionally, 5% of our gross proceeds go to support the USA Swimming Foundation, the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming.
The goal for each swimmer, during the Swim-a-Thon, is to swim as many lengths of the pool as they can during a 2-hour period, up to 200 lengths (300 lengths for our older athletes)! The younger athletes will swim from 5:15-7:15 PM and Senior & Senior Prep will swim from 7:15-9:15 PM. There will be music, pizza and cookies to celebrate this fun night at the pool!
HOW WE RAISE MONEY :
Prior to February 24th, we ask our athletes and families to collect pledges from family, friends, neighbors, teachers, etc. (please see attached Swim-a-Thon documents).
Please also ask your employers and local businesses to support the Victor Swim Club! We are a 501(c)(3) organization, so all donations are tax-deductible.
We encourage donations to be made using our online donation tool, for ease of tracking as well as the ability to generate receipts for donors. This link on our homepage allows you to watch our progress as we strive to reach our goal!
If you collect checks, please make them payable to YOU. When you are finished collecting cash and/or checks, please submit ONE check made payable to the Victor Swim Club and mail to PO Box 293, Victor, NY 14564 by March 10th.
HOW WE USE THE MONEY :
The money raised by the Swim-a-Thon is a critical part of our club’s operating budget. Registration fees alone are not nearly enough to cover the expenses associated with running our organization such as facility rentals, staff salaries, travel costs, etc. We also use this income to provide equipment for our athletes, bring guest speakers in to speak with the kids, provide swimmer awards/Tshirts, and host social events such as the holiday party and banquet.
INDIVIDUAL PRIZES :
We offer incentives for our athletes to raise as much money as possible! USA Swimming also offers prizes based on laps completed and money raised. Here are the prizes this year:

**Our runner-up will receive a free, 30-minute lesson with Coach Dan**
Swimmers raising over $500 or $1000 in pledges will receive an Amazon gift card for $50 or $100.
USA Swimming offers the following prizes as well:
$400-$599.99 = Cooling Headband
$600-$799.99 = Foam Squirt Cannon
$800-$1099.99 = USA Swimming Coloring Tote
$1100-$1399.99 = USA Swimming 200 Piece Puzzle
$1400+ = USA Swimming Barrel Travel Cooler
GROUP PRIZES :
Each roster group will have the following fundraising goals, based on the number of athletes in the group, along with rewards for achieving their goals! The group raising the most money, relative to their goal, will also win an ice cream party!
Developmental: $8,600
