Life Time McKinney is home to a rigorous, and elite swim team program and is the ONLY long course facility in the LT Dallas Swim metroplex. With a robust drylands conditioning program, yoga classes, world-class facilities, a staff of high-level coaching led by veteran coach, Wagner da Silva, LT MCK is the site for champions who seek individualized, targeted training and have the drive and desire to achieve their athletic greatness.

LT MCK offers a variety of swimming programs from Learn-to-Swim for beginners, Developmental for novice swimmers, and USAS groups - Bronze, Silver, Gold and Senior. The program has produced a plethora of AA & AAA, TAGS, Sectionals and Jr. Nats swimmers, making the site known for its productive capability. With a small yet mighty team and a family-like team culture, every swimmer has a place and home at LT MCK, with coaches who care deeply and push purposefully.

Wagner da Silva

Head Coach & Aquatics Leader

 

 

Coach Wagner currently serves as the Head Coach and Aquatics Leader of Life Time McKinney.

Coach Wagner brings nearly 40 years of coaching and teaching experience, having started his competitive swimming journey in Brazil at just 8 years old. A native of São José do Rio Preto, São Paulo, he holds an associate degree in Computer Science and has dedicated most of his coaching career to helping athletes in Wisconsin and Texas rise to become state champions, national qualifiers, age-group record holders, and collegiate athletes. In Texas, he has produced numerous TAGS and state record-holders.

In 2009, Coach Wagner was honored as Wisconsin’s Age Group Coach of the Year, and in 2010, he led his team to a Wisconsin State Championship. Since moving to Texas in 2011, he has coached at RACE, PAC and TFA, continuing to build strong swimmers and an even stronger swim community.

He’s supported by his wonderful wife, Dawn, and their three sons—Oskar, Andre, and Ivan.

Mikey De Guzman

Assistant Swim Team & Drylands Coach

Coach Mikey currently serves as the Assistant Swim Team & Drylands Coach, under the leadership and mentorship of Coach Wagner da Silva. He is the lead Assistant Coach for LT McKinney-Craig Ranch's Developmental & Bronze programs as well as the Regional Social Media & Content Lead for Lifetime Swim Dallas.

He is currently working towards his ASCA Level 3 & ASCA Strength & Conditioning Certification. Additionally, he is a 500 RYT/TTC Hatha Ashtanga Yoga Instructor, certified in Rishikesh, India through Rishikesh Yogpeeth. Furthermore, he is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma with 2 BAs in Advertising & Media Production and International Relations.

 

Coach Mikey began swimming at the early age of 4 at Valle Verde in Manila under the tutelage of his father, Lauro De Guzman III. The elder De Guzman was captain of the Philippine Water Polo National Team and also swam for the Philippines. His mother, Cintamoni De Guzman, was a gold medalist in uneven bars at 1995 Southeast Asian Games and was a 5x captain and head coach of the Philippine Women’s Artistic Gymnastics National Team. During his youth, Coach Mikey swam varsity and played water polo for Rockwall High School under Paul Wallace and swam club competitively for RACE under Olympian Neil Walker. In 2023, Coach Mikey served as the Head Coach of LT Allen, mentored by Elizabeth Hyatt.

 

Currently, Coach Mikey continues to swim with specialties in distance Butterfly and Backstroke. An avid climber, capoerista and asana practitioner, he focuses on clean and sound technique, utilizing cross training to better his swimming. His drylands programming heavily emphasizes on functional, lean mass strength & conditioning, flexibility & mobility, physical therapy and mental coaching.

Whitney Godoy

Assistant Swim Team Coach


 

Whitney Godoy joins our coaching staff with a passion for swimming that runs deep, both personally and professionally. Originally from Kentucky, Whitney brings a unique combination of experience, dedication, and heart to the pool deck. She is a certified teacher, currently teaching 4th grade, and is also pursuing a career in the medical field.

Whitney’s love for swimming is not just a career—it’s a way of life. She has four kids, and her oldest daughter swam for Coach Wagner, earning a spot at the state competition every year she competed. Whitney understands the commitment and joy that comes with competitive swimming, and she’s excited to pass on her knowledge and love for the sport to the next generation of swimmers.

Outside of coaching, Whitney is a dedicated athlete in her own right. She is currently training for her 5th Half Ironman and has already completed a Full Ironman in Florida in 2021. Her personal commitment to endurance sports reflects her belief in pushing limits, setting goals, and achieving greatness. Swimming remains at the core of her passion, and she feels incredibly lucky to be doing what she loves while helping others improve in the sport.

Whitney’s enthusiasm for swimming is contagious, and she is thrilled to be working with our athletes to inspire them to reach their fullest potential, both in and out of the water.
