WELCOME MINI 1

Welcome Mini 1 Swimmers and Families! We are so excited to have your swimmer in our Top 10 and Under Group. My name is Coach Kacy Casey and I have 22 years of swimming experience as a swimmer and coach. I started my coaching journey with RACE as an 18 year old, before heading off to college where I was given the opportunity to work with my college team as an intern, before moving the NY to work with a second collegiate team as a graduate assistant. After several years coaching collegiate I decided to come back home to Rockwall and started coaching with RACE again (6 years now). During my time back at RACE I have coached swimmers to TAGS Age Group winning titles, had multiple swimmers rank in the top 100 in their age bracket, and been named one of the ASCA top 50 age group coaches in the country for the year twice. I look forward to working with your athletes and you to make them the best well rounded athlete they can be! If you have any questions during this season please feel free to reach out to me at [email protected]. Let’s RACE!

GROUP OVERVIEW

Mini 1 is our top group for 10 and under swimmers. Swimmers in this group are on the fast track to competing at a higher level and working their way up to elite swimming. We will take time to focus on technique, but our group also has a solid training background to prepare athletes for their next steps in their swimming career.

GROUP GOALS

The goals of Mini 1 are to give young swimmers the tools they need to be successful in the sport of swimming and life. During their time in mini 1 swimmers will start achieving BB times and work towards getting A times and TAGS cuts as they age out of the group.
