Coach John Mcilhargy-Head Coach
Coach John McIlhargy, Coach Mac, has been coaching for 35 years and was one of the original coaches through the development of the club when it was the North Rockland PAL swim team under Coach Laura Holmes. Since then, Coaches Laura and Dave Holmes, myself and others helped transition it to a competitive USA Swim Club. In 1997, Coach Mac became the Head Coach and transitioned it from the North Rockland Aquatic Club to Team Rockland Swimming. Coach Mac had to leave TRS to accept a Staff Directors position at USA Swimmiing, the national gioverning body for the sport in Colorado Springs.
When he's not coaching, Coach Mac is the CEO of Mythic Sports Group which designs and Project Manages sports, wellness and recreation infrastucure development, including aquatic centers, nationally and internationally. Coach Mac has served Metro Swimming in several board diciplines since 1987 and is the immediate past Chairman of Metropolitan Swimming Inc. and continues on the Board of Directors today.
Coach Jordan Carlisi- Asst. Head Coach
Coach Jordan Carlisi has been with the swim team from almost its inception. Joining as a swimmer with his brothers, affectionally known by us as the "Flying Carlisi's", in 1988. He was part of the North Rockland Red Raiders, North Rockland Aquatic Club and Team Rockland Swimming. He was an integral part of the North Rockland High School Varsity Team and part of the NRHS winning Section 1 Team.
Coach Jordan started coaching after graduating college and now has over 17 years of, versitile, coaching experience at all levels of instruction. He is an educator and is married and has two boys... (Maybe the next set of "Flying Calisi's" ?)
