Bobcat Bulletin 2/12/24

Denise Humphrey

Bobcats,

We are less than two weeks away from the Regional Championship! There is a flurry of preparations happening to prepare for a meet of this size!

1. REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP- VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

The job sign-up is available for the Regional Championship meet we are hosting at the OUAC Feb. 23-25. There are 3 sessions per day so the amount of volunteers required is substantial. Having the meet at our pool is not only a financial win for the club but it allowss the kids get to sleep in their own beds. There are no hotel or restaurant expenses for you so PLEASE volunteer. It's the trade-off we make when we agree to host this meet. Please sign up onthe team's website ASAP!

2. BOOK DRIVE FEB. 12-15:

The Community Service Committee is hosting a Book Drive this week! You are asked to donate used or new "Books You LOVE" for the new Village of Shawnee Library scheduled to open this Spring! 10.  KROGER FUNDRAISING PROGRAM:

I wanted to  pass along a super easy fundraising opportunity for Bobcat Swim Club.  If you do any shopping at Kroger, then this is perfect for you!  We are now a Community Reward Member with Kroger.  If you attach Bobcat Swim Club to your KrogerPlus card, the team will start earning money.  Once BSC has been added to your account, there is nothing else you need to do (except shop for groceries :)).  When you make any purchase at a Columbus affiliated Kroger (Athens counts) then the team benefits.  Below is some information on how to add BSC to your account.  If you do not have a KrogerPlus card but shop at Kroger, stop at their customer service desk and register for one.

To Use the Kroger Community Rewards Program:
Simply encourage your participants to visit http://www.kroger.com. Once logged into their Kroger account they can search for Bobcat Swim Club either by name or UU139 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card.

*Customers must have a registered Kroger rewards card account to link to your organization.
*If a member does not yet have a Kroger rewards card, please let them know they are available at the customer service desk at any Kroger

REMEMBER, purchases will not count for your organization until after your participants register their rewards card.
Participants must swipe their registered Kroger rewards card or use the phone number that is related to their registered Kroger rewards card when shopping for each purchase to count.
