Franz Resseguie Head Coach

Franz Resseguie is a seasoned swim coach with a wealth of experience and expertise. His coaching journey has been marked by dedication and success as he has worked tirelessly to nurture and develop swimmers of all levels. Known for his exceptional coaching and ability to inspire athletes to new levels, Franz has left a mark on our swimming community locally and nationally. With a strong coaching background and passion for the sport, he continues to make a positive impact on Tualatin Hills swimmer's growth and achievements.

Accomplishments:

USA Swimming "National Team Coach" list 2023, 2022 

USA Swimming National Team Coach 2006-2008.  This honor recognizes Franz’s contribution to the National Team’s primary objective of achieving competitive success at the Olympic Games.

2006, 2007 & 2008 recipient of the "Coach of Excellence Award," the American Swim Coaches Association Award that recognizes achievement on the National Level.

Kevin Ferreira Head Age Group Coach

Kevin Ferreira steps into the role of Tualatin Hills Swim Club's Head Age Group Coach with a distinguished coaching career marked by many achievements. The recent selection of Kevin to represent our club at the exclusive 2022 National Age Group Summit is a testament to his coaching prowess, and Kevin's adeptness in nurturing well-rounded athletes. As a versatile coach with nearly three decades of experience, Kevin's journey began as an Assistant Coach at the Cabrillo Threshers Swim Team, later expanding to impactful roles at Soquel High School, Santa Cruz High School, and Aptos High School. His dedication and leadership position him to guide our age group program to success at Tualatin Hills Swim Club.

Jody Braden Assistant Senior Coach

Jody Braden is a seasoned and accomplished swim coach with over 30 years of experience in coaching and shaping the swimming landscape. Notable for his tenure at Portland Aquatic Club, where he held the position of Head Coach from 2004 to 2020, Jody's leadership spanned both coaching and administrative roles, fostering growth, and success. His earlier contributions at Bellevue Club Swim Team further exemplify his coaching versatility and dedication to athletes' development. Jody's illustrious swimming career, including NCAA All-American honors, Pac-10 Champion, Olympic Trials qualifications, and a Pan American Games Silver Medal, underscores his personal excellence in the pool. His wide-ranging expertise, leadership roles within Oregon swimming, and remarkable impact on swimmers' achievements make Jody Braden an exceptional candidate for THSC, with a profound commitment to fostering excellence in athletes.

Sheila McCarroll Assistant Coach

Sheila McCarroll is a dedicated and accomplished figure within the Oregon swimming community, known for her diverse background and unwavering commitment to coaching. Sheila graduated from the University of Michigan with a BS in Nursing and embarked on a distinguished career that took her to prestigious institutions like Mass Gen Hospital in Boston and Emanuel Hospital in Portland, where she excelled in Labor and Delivery. Sheila's journey with Tualatin Hills Swim Club (THSC) started when her own children embarked on their swimming journeys in 1999. Over the years, her involvement deepened as she took on pivotal roles within the club. Serving as Meet Director for many years, and as the Board President for six years, Sheila contributed significantly to the club's growth and direction. Transitioning from administrative roles to coaching, Sheila's passion for nurturing young swimmers became evident. Her coaching journey began at CYO at Valley Catholic School, where for 12 years she shaped swimmers' growth and development. Sheila switched over to coaching with THSC in 2013 and her enthusiasm for coaching our younger swimmers shines through, underscoring her dedication to nurturing their early swimming experiences. We would not be the team we are today without Sheila.

Stacia Shelton Assistant Coach

Stacia Shelton is a highly accomplished and passionate swim coach known for her outstanding achievements and dynamic coaching style. In 2017 Stacia was recognized as the 2016-2017 Oregon Swimming Age Group Coach of the Year by her coaching peers. Stacia's coaching prowess is evident through her diverse experiences. She is highly sought after for her skills in teaching younger athletes. Stacia's impact extends through various roles, on different teams around Oregon and as an Assistant Coach at Palo Alto Swim Club. Her swimmers have rewritten the records board on their teams and broken a few Oregon Swimming records. Stacia's coaching philosophy emphasizes athlete well-being, positive team dynamics, and holistic growth. Her ability to foster goal-setting, plan engaging activities, and create a fun and focused training environment defines her impactful coaching approach. We are very lucky to have Stacia on our staff.

Emily Cook Assistant Coach

Emily Cook a THSC Thunderbolt alum ‘17 embarks on her coaching career with an impressive collegiate competitive experience. She is a two-time NCAA All-American with the University of Minnesota. Her career is adorned with a plethora of honors and awards, including the distinguished Dorothy L. Sheppard Award and the Outstanding Student-Athlete Award which recognized her commitment to the science of swimming, international awareness, and academic excellence. Emily's dedication to both athletics and academics is evident through her achievements. Check out her U of Minn. bio  She is a role model for the Student-Athlete and I am looking forward to having her join us on deck, and learning from her wealth of experiences.

Addison Schroeder Assistant Coach

Addison Schroeder is a recent Biology graduate from Southwest Minnesota State University, where she dedicated four years to competing on the NCAA DII women's swimming and diving team. With a remarkable 15-year journey as a competitive swimmer, Addison's passion for the sport now drives her aspiration to inspire others through coaching. Addison has been an assistant coach for her club team and was a head coach for a large summer league program. In this capacity, she adeptly managed assistant coaches, orchestrated practice schedules, and meticulously organized meet arrangements. Addison's experience and motivation render her an exceptional candidate for coaching with THSC.
