River City Aquatics Named USA Swimming Bronze
Medal Club for 2025–2026 Season
CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO — October 30, 2025 — River City Aquatics (RCA) has been recognized as an official Bronze Medal Club in USA Swimming’s prestigious 2025–2026 Club Excellence Program, marking RCA among the top 3% of competitive swim programs in the nation. This achievement highlights the team’s ongoing commitment to developing elite-level athletes while maintaining a strong culture of community, discipline, and personal growth.
“This recognition means a lot to our program,” said Bobby Brewer, Head Coach and Executive Director of River City Aquatics. “It reflects years of intentional work—athletes pushing themselves beyond comfort zones, coaches committed to long-term development, and families who believe in our process. We’ve built something special here in Southeast Missouri, and it’s exciting to see that effort recognized at the national level.”
The USA Swimming Club Excellence Program honors the top-performing clubs across the country based on their ability to develop 18-and-under athletes toward national and international success. Earning Bronze Medal status signifies that River City Aquatics is not only producing fast swimmers but also fostering an environment that prioritizes long-term athlete growth and high performance.
In addition to its Club Excellence recognition, RCA celebrated a year filled with major milestones:
National-Level Success: Six RCA athletes qualified for the 2025 USA Swimming Futures Championships, with standout performances that included three relay victories and an individual title by Nate Thomas in the 200 backstroke.
Athlete Development Pipeline: RCA continues to produce nationally ranked swimmers and college-bound student-athletes, establishing itself as a launchpad for future champions.
Facility & Coaching Growth: With a newly remodeled 50-meter facility and a coaching staff that blends innovation with experience, RCA provides athletes of all levels the tools to reach their potential. “Our goal has always been to raise the bar for what’s possible in this region,” Brewer added. “Recognition like this fuels our drive—but it’s really about helping young people discover who they can become through swimming.”
River City Aquatics stands as the premier competitive swim program in Southeast Missouri, offering training from beginner to elite levels. RCA athletes have achieved Junior National and National qualifications, state championships, and Division I scholarships, while also setting multiple Ozark and Missouri state records.
