NNA MEETS RECAP - Eight Tigersharks participated in the two NNA meets held over the weekend of July 12-13th at the new Moana pool in Reno. It was our last regular Long Course meet of the summer. Our swimmers performed very well with each getting at least one new best time (a.k.a. personal record or "PR"), and some newly achieved time standards at the meet! Congratulations to Hannah I. and Emily N. on qualifying for finals both days in the Senior 2 part of the weekend. Hannah took first place in the 400 IM final! Thank you to the families who volunteered for timing all weekend - you make swim meets function!

CENTRAL CALIFORNIA SWIMMING AGE GROUP CHAMPIONSHIPS JULY 16-20 - Seven Tigersharks are currently at this prelims and finals Championship Meet (Siena B., Derick H,. Chase L., Skye M., Evie M, Emily N. and Ruth T.) The group is representing the Tigersharks well and again the Tigersharks are shining in Clovis, CA! Our athletes are is swimming at their season's peak and have qualifieed for many finals so far. Congrats to Chase L. on achieving new Western Zone Senior Championship qualifying times (400 Free, 200 Free and 100 Free)! The meet concludes on Sunday July 20th.

WESTERN ZONE SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS JULY 29-AUGUST 1ST - Five Tigersharks will soon be hitting their taper for this Senior level prelims/finals Championship Meet (Ewan K., Hannah I. Mackenzie P., Brynn R and Larkin R.). We believe they will again keep our Tigershark's success going in Clovis, CA. The group will be led at this meet by Coach Cassidy. Tigersharks are grateful for the work Coach Cassidy has been doing with the Senior group this summer - both in the pool and in the weights/conditioning gym.

HIGH COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS AUGUST 1-3 - This meet is our final meet of the summer. It is a preliminaries and finals meet and offers a great opportunity for experience and growth for our developing athletes. The meet is currently open for entries. Entries close July 24th. Enter online NOW at FastSwims.com.

LAST TWILIGHT OF SUMMER '25 - Tuesday August 5th will be the final twilight meet of the summer.  Any Tigerhsarks athletes are welcome to participate.  Signup online HERE.

SUMMER VACATION - Following our summer championship meets Tigersharks will take will take a break from training August 4th through 17th.  M-Th Practices will resume on August 18th.
 
TIGERSHARKS KIDS TRIATHALON  - August 23rd.  Save the date!  Tigersharks are hosting our Capital City Kids Triathalon again in 2025.  This event supports our team and gives us exposure in the community.  We'd like every Tigershark to either participate or volunteer at the event, (or both).    We are asking all families who are available to help volunteer to help make this event a success.  Sign up at the pool office.
