​WELCOME BACK FOR THE 2025-26 SHORT COURSE SEASON - Welcome back from summer break and the end of our M-Th "back to school" practice schedule. September 1st marks the beginning of a new competitive year for USA Swimming where we will return to short course meets-competitions until next April. Our fall will be focused on the path of pursuit of "B" and "BB" times and better, committing to training and being on time for training.  We will be expecting athletes in our competitive groups to have their own equipment for use during training - this way will be using our time training instead of looking for equiment to borrow.

Our regular Fall training-practice schedule will begin on Tuesday September 2nd.

Please make sure to have your athlete bring their TRAINING GEAR as assigned by roster group (Bronze, Silver,...Sr.) to each practice. We will no longer be supplying fins at the facility. Team fins will be retired as they reach the end of their useful life. Kickboards borrowed from the CAF should be returned after each practice. All Senior level athletes should have a snorkel in their gear bag.

SEPTEMBER 2025 TRAINING TRAINING SCHEDULES -   Our September 2025 Training Calendar has been posted to our team website HERE. The practice times indicated for an athlete's group in September will also be our regular Fall schedule.

DOUGLAS DOLFINS AUTUMN FREEZE MEET SEPT 12-14 IS OPEN FOR ENTRIES - Our first USA Swimming meet of the 2025-26 competition year will be the Douglas Dolfins Autumn Freeze Septemeber 12-14th in Minden. Join the twenty-three Tigersharks already signed up for this meet! Enter the meet on FastSwims.com before 11:59 on Wednesday September 3rd. After this our next meet will be October 17th to 19th.

GOLD AND BRONZE GROUPS WELCOME NEW COACHES - Welcome to Coach Erica Fischer who now is the lead coach forour Gold group. Erica will also help out with coaching other parts of the team. Erica is an alumus of the Carson Tigersharks and still holds Tigersharks team records! We are also happy to now have Coach Mara Spencer lead coaching our Bronze group, along with our Silver group this Fall.

TIGERSHARKS KIDS TRIATHLON - RECAP  - Our annual Capital City Kids Triathlon was held last Saturday August 23rd.  It was great to see some of our athletes join the slate of almost 100 junior triathletes who participated in this event.  The event was a great success and was led by Julie Moresi and Becki who went to great lenghts to organize the event and recruit the sponsors who back our team, community and kids by donating to our organization to help you execute the event.  Thank you Julie, Becki and to all of the parent and athlete volunteers who helped run the event on race day!    
 
RUNNING OF THE SHARKS - SAVE THE DATE  - Our annual swim for funds fundraiser will be held on Nevada Day, October 31, 2025 with a late morning to early afternoon timeframe so as not to conflict with trick or treating, Halloween parties, etc.
