SHARK-A-THON 2025
Our annual fundraiser, the Shark-a-Thon, is upon us! The event will be held on August 7, 2025, at 3:30PM. It is a swim-a-thon, where swimmers gather sponsors and then see how many laps they can swim in a given amount of time.
LINK TO SET UP SWIMMER'S SHARK-A-THON DONATION PAGE (optional) AND TO DONATE
To set up your Sharkathon donation page (optional):
- You should be logged in to your MLST account on a computer if you want to update swimmer's shark-a-thon profile.
- Click the link above
- Search for your swimmer name, to update profile (hit the "set-up tab" where you can add text, picture and any other personal information)
If your swimmer is unable to attend on August 7th, they can still participate by completing their laps on Thursday, August 8, or during regular practice hours the following week (Monday through Friday). The final day to swim is Friday, August 15. Winners will be determined the following weekend based on both total laps and funds raised—and yes, there will be some awesome prizes at our end-of-season party!
Friends and family are invited to pledge a donation for every lane completed by their favorite swimmer. Whether it's $1, $5, or more per lane, every contribution adds up to support a great cause. (Donations can be “per lap” or a one-time donation of a certain amount)
It’s a fun way to come together, cheer each other on, and make a splash for something meaningful. Swimmers can challenge themselves, and supporters can motivate them with every pledged dollar. Let’s swim, support, and succeed, one lane at a time!
To Fundraise:
- you can send an invite to friends and family to donate by your email list or click to share on FB under the "promote tab"
- You can also send people directly to the MLST Fundraising Page at Mammoth Lakes Swim Team - TU Money (teamunify.com), and they can search by Swimmer name. Donations can be split between multiple kids, if they are in the same family.
All swimmers should plan to participate if they are in town. This is a family event and hope that everyone is able to get the whole family involved. The older athletes' involvement may also include helping count laps and encouraging the younger kids.
