SPLASH & BASH

The 2025 SPLASH & BASH is coming up Sunday, June 8st, 2025

Splash & Bash is here and we are excited to have a good showing this year, with over 90 swimmers as registered Sharks.  For those of you unfamiliar with Splash & Bash, it is our team's meet/beginning of the season party that we put on every season. The meet is designed to be a way to introduce our new swimmers to the team as well as introducing them to some friendly competition.  For those of us that are experienced swimmers, it is a chance to have all-Mammoth heats, race against our friends and be mentors to some of our new swimmers.  We plan on having veteran swimmers and veteran parents help guide our newer families through the process.  After our meet, we will also be hosting a bbq/potluck where Sharks will be able to play in the grass and free swim, and parents can swim and or socialize.

Register your swimmers!

We recommend installing the SpotsEngine App for a more intuitive way to access all the features in your account. However, you can also sign up through a web browser. To do so, log into your MLST account, select "Team Events," and click "Edit Commitment" under Splash N Bash. Then, choose the events you’d like to sign up for.

This year the entry will be free and swimmers are allowed to do a MAX of 5 events. If your swimmer is new to the team, consider asking coach Emily about which events to sign them up for.  For our youngest, newest swimmers, this might just be the 25 Freestyle, and possibly the 25 Backstroke, which are great races to start with.

As many of us know, this event is impossible without the help of all of the parents.  We have created a signup genious that I will link below.  If you are unsure of the nature of the task or weather or not you are qualified for the task, don't worry, we will teach you. We have plenty of friendly, veteran parents that are willing to help. 

As for the pot luck, we are bringing burgers and dogs as our main dish, but we ask that people please bring sides and desserts.    

Fundraising raffle!

We're looking for donations to make this new fundraiser a success! We have many parents that own local buisnesses or restaurants or have connections at the mountain.  Any gift cards, or gear, or anything else that you can think of would be greatly appreciated. 

Once we know more about the prizes we will have to offer, we will be selling tickets at practice and winners will be announced at the Splash & Bash. Ask your neighbors, family, friends to buy raffle tickets as well - you don't need to be present to win!
