Hey All,
Welcome to mid January in California with beautiful days and cold nights! Please remember that we ask our swimmers to walk to their parents after practice so that we do not have parents blocking the pool for the next group to start swimming.
Speaking of January, it is time for returning swimmers to renew their USA Swimming Registrations for the Calendar year of 2025. Swimmers that newly registered in September of 2024 are registered through the 2025 Calendar year. Returning swimmers do not need a code and should be able to log in to their USA Swimming Accounts and register for the 2025 Calendar Year from there.
Zone Champs! Zone Champs Entry Deadline has been extended to TOMORROW (Friday, 1/17) on fastswims.com! This meet is the best meet of the year because ALL of our qualifying swimmers from Seniors Group to Junior 1 will be at the same meet! This is an aspirational meet for our younger swimmers and a requirement of our older swimmers as they will act as buddies and carry on team traditions and knowledge which transcends through our whole site! Typically, this meet requires athletes to have achieved THESE Time Standards. If you have one qualifying time per day and are close in the other events, please talk to your group coach about how to enter this meet.
February 1st Meet! In our attempt to always offer the best opportunity for our swimmers, we will be offering a Block Party Meet for swimmers on February 1st. This meet is targeted at Silver through Junior 1, Red and JV as well as certain Gold Group Swimmers that need to get more meets under their belts. More info to come, but please mark your Calendars tonight!
Stanford Meets- Please take the opportunity to watch some of the best swimmers in the world as Stanford takes to the pool in the following schedule. We have the best in the world in this area, including swimming!

Friday, 1/17- UCLA @ 2pm
Saturday, 1/18- USC @ Noon
Saturday, 2/1- CAL @ Noon- our goal is to finish our block party meet at Palo Alto High School and then head across the street to watch this meet!
Men’s Schedule
Saturday, 1/18- USC @ Noon
The Southern California Fires- As many of you know, our team has a great relationship with the Rosebowl team. Coach Tony reached out to their coach regarding what we can do for their swim community and this was the response. You may already be helping in other ways, but this is just a thought for how you can help:
“Hi Tony - Thank you for checking in. We are okay. Waiting to get back into our pool but have found something temporary to get them in the water.
Unfortunately, we had a good amount of families lose their homes. The number continues to increase because many are still displaced.
Our Boosters have set this up for teams who have reached out asking how they can help.
