Swim Hard Swim TVA report .pdf

The weather outside was frigged but the TVA swimmers were sizzling hot at the Junior Olympic Championship meet this past weekend in Morgan Hill. It started with ice on the deck and temperatures in the 20’s with highs in the low 40’s. That did not stop TVA from having a successful meet.

The Silver “Stars” group was lead by Taylor Rohovit. She had 5 best times, swam 9 prelim events, 6 final events and broke 3 team records in 3 days. Taylor’s hard work all fall paid off! She handled all of this with an amazing attitude and showed she can compete with the top.

Ryan Ridosko was just as busy with 9 prelim swims, 4 finals and 1 team record and 5 best times. He also learned that the 500 is swum twice if you’re fast enough to make finals. He too handled the busy weekend with a good attitude.

Caleb Bitting had 4 best times at his first JO meet. He achieved a new team record as well as earning relays for the Silver group with a bet with Coach Mary. Farel Harimawan swam 1 best time to make it a very exciting weekend for the Silver Stars.

The Gold group was represented by Grant Yap, Cole Reznick, Liz Reimer, Sophia Krafcik, Wolfgang LaChance, and Patrick Ren. Grant led the group with 4 best times followed by Cole with 3 and a new team record. Wolfgang had 2 best times, swam 2 finals and also broke a team record. Representing the girls, Liz had 2 best times and Sophia 1.

Grant, Patrick, Cole and Wolfgang teamed up for 3 relays and scored in the top 8 in 2 of the 3. Patrick was the speedster of the four with some blazing 100 free 51.7 relay split. The boys swam fast and had fun while doing it.
