This past weekend, July 13 - July 16, TVA competed at long course California-Nevada Sectional Championships in Roseville, bringing home 1st place in the small team division! There were 21 total new best times and 6 medals (5 gold and 1 bronze). Safe to say that TVA had a great 4 days meet despite temperatures reaching up to 108º.

On Thursday, Matej Melis swam in the Consolation Final of the 200 Breaststroke, and Luke Scanlon swam in the Consolation Final of the 200 fly, dropping some time from the morning. Meanwhile, Cole Reznick dominated the 200 Breaststroke Championship Final, securing 1st place and his first 2024 Olympic Trials Cut.

On Friday, three swimmers swam in the 200 Free Final: Nathanael Ridosko in the bonus final, and Cade Vieler and Ryan Ridosko in the Consolation Final. Ryan also swam in the Consolation Final of the 400 IM, and Cade swam an additional 100 Back Bonus Final. TVA’s 400 Medley Relay team (Cole Reznick, Brandon Fischer, Luke Scanlon, and Ryan Ridosko) finished in 1st place with an impressive time of 3:53.26.

On Saturday, Cade Vieler and Nathanael Ridosko swam in the 400 Free Consolation Final with huge best times. Taylor Rohovit swam in the 100 Breaststroke Championship Final, earning 6th place. Within the men’s 100 breaststroke, Matej Melis competed in the Bonus Final, and Brandon Fischer and Cole Reznick secured the 1st and 3rd spot in the Championship Final. Our 800 Free Relay team (Cole Reznick, Nathanael Ridosko, Cade Vieler, Ryan Ridosko) finished in 4th place with a time of 7:52.58.

On the final day, Cole Reznick finished in 1st place in the 200 IM, achieving an impressive time of 2:04.90. TVA’s 400 Free Relay team (Cole Reznick, Cade Vieler, Nathanael Ridosko, Ryan Ridosko) fought hard and finished in 1st place with a fantastic time of 3:32.81, out-touching Alto’s relay team by 0.13 seconds.
