Dear Parents and Swimmers,

Welcome to June! Summer is right around the corner, make sure you are up-to-date with our summer schedules.

This Week Practice Schedule Reminders:

(all schedules are normal unless noted below)

Friday: Challenge will practice with Accelerate and Senior 2 at WEST 4-6:30pm (dryland at 3:30 for all that can make it). Senior is at Colman 6-8pm.

Saturday: Senior 2 will practice 9-11am with Challenge.

Pasco Recap

Thank you to everyone that made the trip to Tri-Cities for last weekend's swim meet. It was great to see the team come together and we had several swimmers compete for the first time and had many best times.

Please remind your swimmers that when we travel as a team, they not only represent themselves but the greater WEST community. We had a complaint from the hotel about several of our swimmers and although no one was specifically mentioned, it reflects negatively on us all.

Marlins Meet - June 21-22nd

Last chance to get signed up for the Marlins Meet June 21-22nd. Entries are posted to the web (click Swim Team tab, scroll down under "Important Links", click "Meet Entry Info").

Western Senior & Age Group Zones

We strong encrouage our swimmers to attend either the Senior or Age Group Western Zones. PNS is hosting the Age Group Zones Meet at KCAC and will be putting a team together to represent the LSC. Swimmers can see the selection time standards and apply for the team on the PNS website (click here). If your swimmer qualifies, they should apply!

WEST is considering traveling to the Western Senior Zones Meet in Clovis, CA in August. Swimmers must qualify for this meet ( click here for the Time Standards). To keep costs down, we have reserved a room block and will partner with several other Northern PNS teams.

Run of the Mill - Volunteers Needed

The Run of the Mill is a charity running race that takes place in Mill Creek each year. It is the only race that the town allows, so there is always a great turn out and they raise a lot of money for great causes. WEST is lucky to be a recipient of the proceeds from the race and they have asked us to help provide race support during the event. If anyone is interested in volunteering, please let me know or contact [email protected].
