Welcome Back

Dear Parents & Swimmers,

I hope everyone is enjoying a well deserved break from practice and having a great summer. We are very excited for the upcoming season and happy to announce registration is now open. This upcoming year we have only a few changes:

"Senior 2" group is becoming the new "Senior" group to help streamline the normal progression through the team. The old "Senior" group will be called "Senior Elite".

Challenge group practice times are going to end at 8:15pm instead of 8:30pm. This is to get the younger swimmers done and in bed earlier each night and will also help encourage Challenge swimmers to increase the number of practices they attend each week. We aim to increase training quality and efficiency by reducing the duration of each practice by 15 minutes and increasing frequency of practice to 6 times per week instead of only coming 4 or 5 times.

Regarding our coaching staff, unfortunately Jordyn and TJ will not be returning in the fall. We are excited to announce that Bryan will be coaching the Challenge group and we have hired two new coaches. Margaret Brunke will be coaching Explore and Jessica Walker will be coaching Discover. Perry will be coaching the Senior group and Nick will be coaching Accelerate and Senior Elite. We will continue to search to add one more coach to our team.

There are new sections that outline Coach Expectations and Codes of Conduct for both Parents and Swimmers. Please be sure to read through everything closely and ask any questions that you have.

We plan to return to practices on August 25th for a week of "optional" workouts. All groups will go together at 12-2pm Monday-Friday (please bring dryland clothes and swim gear). Swimmers may come as often as they wish, we encourage everyone to come as much as possible. The swimmers that attend this week have a head start advantage for the rest of the season. We will take Labor Day off and start up with our first official practice on Tuesday, September 2nd.
