Great job this past weekend to all WEST swimmers that competed at the Winter Challenge Meet. We had many best times and several new qualifiers for the Age Group Invite and Regionals. a

We will be doing our annual team photos on Friday at 6:30pm. Wear your BLACK team shirt from this year (WEST circle on the front, West Coast outline on back).  Please be here at 6:15pm to start lining up. Order forms can be printed by following this link.

NEW Meet to the Calendar – WEST Spring Last Chance Meet

We will be hosting a quick 2-day meet on Friday and Saturday, March 5-6 ^th. This is the last possible chance to qualify for Regionals, so swimmers must be close to regional times to enter events. We will open Volunteer positions for this meet for all families that didn’t work both the November and February AG Invites.

 

WEST Academic Excellence Program

We have always just expected our athletes to be good students, but now we feel it is important to go a step further and recognize those athletes that achieve a minimum of B in all classes. We will be collecting report cards (copies, please) from all swimmer’s in middle school and above, and then raffling off prizes. To participate, please submit your report card by the end of February, raffles will be held in the beginning of March.

 

Parents NEEDED – Fundraising Task Force

We are looking for a group of 8-12 parents to help organize our Fundraising efforts. This group will help a little with the preparation for Swim-A-Thon, but the main focus is to spearhead our Corporate Sponsorship efforts and try to solicit more business donations. Please email Coach Nick if you are interested in helping out.
