WEST Weekly
Dear WEST folk,
We are heading into the end of February and Spring Championships are quickly approaching! Congratulations to all of the swimmers who competed at Boy’s High School District and State Championships in the last two weeks - there were several outstanding swims at both meets. Jon Cook was named Swimmer of the Meet after winning both the 100 Breast and 200 IM, and Jackson Coach Drew Whorley was named Coach of the Year. Other championship individual finalists include Jeremiah Tien, Tony Mikhail, Tarek Farouk, Ethan Forsberg and Bryan Phung. We are all very proud of their accomplishments.

Swim-A-Thon Letter Writing Party – Sat, March 19th
As we gear up for Swim-A-Thon, all of the swimmers will write letters to friends, families, and local businesses to solicit donations. We will supply everyone with form letters, envelopes and postage – each swimmer should bring a list of names and addresses and plan to send a minimum of 10 letters. Any parents interested in helping to cook breakfast for the swimmers, please contact Janet Kim (
[email protected]).
Happy Swimming.
