WEST Weekly

Dear WEST Swim Fans,

Congratulations to all WEST swimmers that competed this last weekend at Senior Sectionals. We had some outstanding performances including 3 ^rd place finishes by Nicole Limberg and 4 ^th place by Jonathan Cook in the 100 Breaststroke. WEST was represented by 11 swimmers at the meet and fielded 2 boy’s relays – an indication of the increased depth of our program over the past year.

 

Friday & Saturday Practice Changes Due to Divisional Champs

There will be NO PRACTICE for Explore, Discover, Challenge, Accelerate or Senior on Friday 3/25 or Saturday 3/26. Pre-Comp is normal.

 

Senior Elite will practice Normal Schedule on Friday and 7:30-10am Saturday. Senior Elite will also be making up the Letter Writing and Breakfast from 10-11:30am on Saturday, immediately following practice.

 

Team Pictures Have Arrived!

If you ordered pictures (either team or individual), they have been distributed to the Family File Folders in the Green Room.

 

Spring Practice Schedule Changes – Effective May 23^rd

Explore & Discover: No Changes

Challenge, Accelerate, Senior: Fridays @ Colman 6-8pm

Senior Elite: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday @ McCullum Pool 4-6:30pm / Tuesday @ Colman 4:30-8pm, Saturday @ Colman 8-10am.

 

Summer Meet Schedule Changes

We’ve added a meet for Qualified Senior Elite swimmers - the Mel Zajac International Meet will be held at University of British Columbia on May 19-22. They haven’t released this year’s meet info yet, but last year’s is available by clicking here and includes Qualifying Time Standards. If your swimmer qualifies and is interested in going, please notify Coach Nick.

 

Due to the timing of Olympic Trials this year, the Montana Firecracker Meet has been moved up one week and will be June 15-19 instead. We realize this will now interfere with school and possibly finals, so we will need to determine if we have enough swimmers to make the trip possible. Please email the office if you would like to attend and we will bill your account a $200 deposit. Note: this meet is only for WEST swimmers ages 11 and over.
