Dear WESTonians,

 

Summer is almost here! The days are certainly getting longer and everyone is really busy finishing up with school and taking advantage of sunny days. Please remember to drink lots of water, wear sunscreen and get enough rest!

 

June Jubilee Swim Meet – This Friday & Saturday

We are doing our in-house meet this weekend.

 

Senior & Senior Elite swimmers will swim on Friday evening (3:30 warmups and 4:30 start). We will need a small number of volunteers to help time, please just how up if you can help out. All other group practices will run normal on Friday (Acc and Ch at Colman, Disco and Exp at WEST), following the meet.

 

All Accelerate, Challenge, Discover, Explore and Summer Team Prep kids will swim on Saturday (1:30 warmups and 2:30 start). Senior Elite will practice normal schedule at Colman and Senior group will practice 8-10:30am @ West. No practice for the groups participating in the meet on Saturday.

 

Service Hour Requirement Parent Meeting – Saturday 12:30pm

We will be holding a meeting on Saturday for all new parents (anyone that joined the team after Sept) to go over the mandatory Service Hour Requirement and Meet Volunteering. Parents will then practice by running the in-house meet on Saturday.

 

Intent to Return to the Team – OPEN NOW until July 15^th

With space on the team becoming more limited each year, we are allowing our existing members to get a head start on registration by giving us your intent to return ( click here for the link). We are giving everyone priority until July 15 ^th at which time we will open team registration up to new incoming swimmers. If you do not give us your intent to return, we cannot guarantee your space in the fall.

 

Annual Team Banquet – June 25^th @ 12pm

We will hold our annual team banquet on Sat, June 25 ^th at 12 noon. We will honor our Highest Swim-A-Thon Fundraisers, Annual Team Awards and Graduating Seniors. More information will come out soon and we will have sign-ups for people to bring food items to share.

 

Summer Schedule Starts Monday, June 27^th

Make sure you familiarize yourself with our Summer Schedule before it hits in a couple weeks.

 

Colman Bus Sign-Ups

Swimmers from Challenge, Accelerate, Senior and Senior Elite all have practices at Colman Pool in the summer. To ensure greater participation, we set up a bus to transport the kids from WEST. The cost is directly linked to the number of people that use it, so the more that participate, the cheaper the cost for everyone. Please let the office know to reserve your spot and indicate which group your swimmer is in.
