WEST Weekly

Dear WEST Members,

Thank you to everyone that volunteered to help make the WEST Hosted PNS Senior Championship Meet such a big success. The team finished 6 ^th Place overall, 6 ^th on the Men’s side and 5 ^th on the Women’s side. This is outstanding, given that most all the teams finishing in front of us are more than double our size. One of the notable highlights from the meet is WEST swimmer Nicole Limberg achieved a 2016 Olympic Trials qualifying time in the 100 Breaststroke. Even though Olympic Trials have passed for this year, this is a major accomplishment and ranks her among the best in our country.

 

Last Day Practice Schedules by Group

Explore & Discover: Thursday 7/28. Note: the group will be walking with Coach Margaret to Cold Stone in the Mill Creek Town Center. They will leave WEST promptly at 5:10pm. Please make sure you turn in a Permission Slip by the start of practice on Thursday.

Challenge, Accelerate & Senior: Thursday 7/28 @ Colman.

Senior Elite: Most of Senior Elite finished the season at Long Course Champs this past weekend. We will be running a modified schedule for the next two weeks as two of our swimmers plan to compete at US Junior Nationals in Minneapolis.

Thurs 7/28: Normal AM, Lift ONLY @ PM 2-3pm

Fri 7/29: Normal

Mon 8/1: 8:30-10:30am @ WEST

Tues 8/2: 8-10am @ Colman (National Group ONLY)

Wed 8/3: 8:30-10:30am @ WEST

Thurs 8/4: 8-10am @ Colman (National Group ONLY)

Fri 8/5: Normal

Start of the Season

We will return to Normal Fall practice schedule the day after Labor Day, Sept 6 ^th for all team groups, pre-comp, and lessons.

 

End of the Year Reminders: Volunteer Billing & Closing of Accounts

We are finalizing everyone’s Volunteer Hours this week and they will be posted to accounts by Friday 7/30. Automatic Billing will take place on the 1 ^st, please remember that there are NO training fees for the month of August, so the billing that will take place will be for meet entry fees, unfulfilled volunteer hours and any other unpaid balances. Balances must be paid in full for us to hold your space on the team. Any unpaid balances by August 15 ^th may be sent to collections, so please make sure you communicate with us if there are any issues.

 

Registration Packets & Move Ups

We are diligently working on the Registration Packet for next year and will release it as soon as possible. Group Move Ups will be announced individually, following this weekend’s championship meet.
