WEST Weekly

Good afternoon WEST families,

Happy September!  Our coaching staff is learning and planning for the upcoming season (and weathering hurricane Hermine!) at the International Swimming Coach’s Clinic in Clearwater this week.  We are excited to return to WEST next week and get back to our Fall schedule with all of you!

 

Labor Day
WEST will be closed on Monday, September 5th in observence of Laber Day.  Fall schedule will begin on Tuesday, September 6th.

 

Registration Packets

If you missed our previous announcement email, our 2016-2017 Swim Team and Pre-Comp (click links) registration packets are available online!  Please make sure you read through the packet with your swimmers, ask our coaching staff any questions you have, and fill out all six required pages.  These packets are due back the office on or before the first day of practice on Tuesday, September 6th.  Registration fees and training dues will be billed when we process the packets.

 

Team Fittings & Equipment Ordering

Sylvia’s Swimwear will be at WEST for our team fittings on Thursday, September 8th from 5-7pm.  Sylvia’s staff and Coach Margaret will be available to help and answer questions.  Please look through registration packets to see which pieces of equipment are required for your swimmers groups.

 

All-City Community Meet

We are excited to announce our first-ever Mill Creek community meet on Saturday, September 10th.  We encourage all of our athletes, particularly PreComp, Explore, Discover, and Challenge groups, to participate in this meet.  We will need a small group of volunteers to help out, so if you are interested and available, please let us know.

The goal of this meet is to incorporate members of our community that are not yet involved in into what we do within our programs at WEST.  There will be swimmers of all ages and a wide range of abilities, so if you know anyone else in Mill Creek that would be interested, please send them this info!

Season Opener Kick-Off

Our Annual Team Potluck and BBQ will be on Saturday, September 17th from 2-5pm.  More information will be sent out in the coming weeks.
