WEST Weekly

Dear Parents,

 

Welcome back! We are very happy to kick off another swim year, and look forward to building on the success of last year. We can see the excitement of the Olympics and the amazing performance by the US team generating a lot of attention on our sport, our team and lesson numbers are way up!

 

Training Group Placement Evaluations

With training groups getting full and our expectations getting higher, we must be very deliberate about placements. We will be evaluating all placements throughout the month of September and will make any necessary adjustments.

 

Team Equipment Order & Fitting Day – TONIGHT 5:30-7:30pm

We are moving to a new swim shop vendor this year and Sylvia’s will be at WEST on Thursday, 9/8 from 5:30-7:30pm.

 

Community Meet – Saturday 9am

We are hosting our first ever all community meet on this Saturday. There will be NO PRACTICE for all groups except Senior Elite and ALL SWIMMERS are expected to participate (please let your group coach know if you cannot attend). The meet will start at 9am.

 

WEST is hiring!

We have several open positions for instructors and lifeguards, and also a part time administrative assistant and full-time Head Guard. If you are interested or want more information, click here or ask one of our coaches.

 

Stroke & Turn Officials Clinic – Next Thursday, Sept 15^th @ 6:30pm in the MCCA Conference Room

There will be an officials training clinic next week at the MCCA building, across from the pool. The cost is $10 per person, but WEST will reimburse all of our team officials. Email Dan Limberg if you have any questions.
