WEST Weekly
Dear WEST Swim Community,
Midway through January and it’s cold. Let’s make sure we bundle after swimming as we aim to stay healthy during this important training phase. Rest is crucial, but having good attendance is also very important at this time of the year. It is a very short stretch between December and March and Spring Championship meets will be here quickly. This part of the year also provides the foundation for Long Course training to be built upon.
WEST Swimmers Competing at Washington Open TONIGHT
Many of the Senior Elite swimmers will be competing in the 1000 Free at the Washington Open meet. Warm-ups are 4:30 and the meet will start at 6. Swimmers must positive check-in so let Coach Nick know if you are going to be late.
Senior Group Practices 3:15-6pm tonight
Any Senior Elite swimmers NOT swimming the 1000 tonight should practice with Senior group during the normal Senior Elite practice slot. Any Senior swimmers that cannot make it can swim with Accelerate tonight.

Pasco Meet Hotel Info
We have already set up the hotel room block for the Pasco Meet. We plan to stay at the Spring Hill Suites Kennewick for $110 per night. Click here for the reservation link.
BlueFin Invite – Feb 12-13
We are gauging interest in attending a meet on Bainbridge Island Feb 12-13. This is the same weekend as boy’s high school districts, so many of the boys can’t swim on Saturday. If there is enough interest then we will do it, so please let your coaches know soon.
Happy Swimming,
Coach Nick
