WEST Weekly

Dear WEST Swim Community,

Spring is here, we are halfway through March and St. Patrick’s Day is only a couple days away! Congratulations to all WEST swimmers that competed at Divisional Championships last weekend. WEST had many best times, new regional qualifiers and some top place finishes. Good luck to all swimmers competing at Senior Sectionals this week and AG Regionals next week! Coach Margaret Nominated for PNS Development Coach of the Year!

Congratulations to Coach Margaret for being one of the coaches nominated for PNS Development Coach of the Year. Her hard work and consistency with the younger kids is starting to show as kids continue to progress and the overall group continues to become more organized.

Long Course Meet Declarations

Make sure you have done your meet declarations online for all upcoming LC meets. We already submitted entries for Mayflowers and Dick LaFave. Entries will be posted to website soon, we are updating our system.

 

Spring Break

Everyone deserves a little time off at the end of SCY season, however with 3 different championship meets and different spring break weeks - we will continue to hold practices. Swimmers are encouraged to make as many of the practices as possible based on their individual circumstance (family vacations, etc). Swimmers that aren’t going away for Spring Break may take off 1-2 days immediately following their final championship meet. We will also be taking Friday & Saturday off to give everyone a long weekends on Mar 31-Apr 1 ^st and Apr 7-8 ^th.

 

Swim-A-Thon & Kara Lynn Joyce

Kara will be coming back to visit WEST again for our Swim-A-Thon the weekend of Apr 14-15. Senior & Senior Elite will swim Friday night with a Team Pizza Party to follow (paid for by USA Swimming for nationally winning our team size category last year!). Explore, Discover, Challenge & Accelerate will swim Saturday morning.

 

Donations are starting to come in and will continue to be accepted until the end of April, but DON’T WAIT!
