Dear West Swim Folk,

Halfway through July and the end of the season is upon us! We only have a few more weeks of club team and then lessons and summer team will also wind down. Hope everyone gets some quality time with friends and family over the month of August. I know the coaches are looking forward to a break and Coach Nick is getting married!

 

Schedule Changes THIS WEEK

Tuesday – NO Senior Elite PM practice

Wednesday – Normal Schedule

Thursday – Senior & Sr Elite (those not @ PNS Champs) - 7-9pm @ Colman (bus leaves WEST @ 5:30)

Friday – Challenge 8:30-11am (dryland @ 10:30) / Senior 12-3pm

Saturday – Explore & Discover – NO PRACTICE / Chall, Acc, Senior & Sr Elite – 7-9:30am

WEST Swim Camps

Whether you are a Summer Team swimmer looking to stay in shape for the Community Meet (Sept 9), a high school swimmer looking to get an advantage for the new season, a pre-comp swimmer staying in the water before fall, or even a club team swimmer looking for a head start to the upcoming season – we have a NEW program for you! We are going to run 3 weeks of “Swim Camp” from Aug 7th-25th. Focus will be on technique and skill building and we will have two time offerings (12-1pm and 6:30-7:30pm). Registration will open soon and more info is available at the Front Desk.

 

Maintenance Closure – Aug 26th – Sept 8th

We are planning a two week maintenance closure so we can get some work done around the facility. We are planning to replace our pool lights with more efficient units and get some projects done that we can’t do during normal business operations (painting, tile work, pool gutter cleaning, deck pressure washing, etc.). Girls HS season will have already started, so we are securing pool time at McCollum Pool.

Team Equipment & Suit Fitting – Thurs, Sept 7^th

Mark your calendars, Sylvia’s will be coming out on Sept 7 ^th to do our annual team fitting. We aim to do it earlier this year so we can get our gear back earlier in the season.

 

Community Swim Meet – Sat, Sept 9^th

We will be holding our second annual Community Meet the Saturday after Labor Day. We hope to get involvement from our Summer Team kids, Masters and high school swimmers, and anyone else interested. You don’t HAVE to live in Mill Creek to participate, anyone local or connected (friends / family) to someone local is invited.
