WEST Weekly

Dear WEST Swim Families,
Welcome back! Hope everyone enjoyed their summer, we are really excited about kicking off the season. Thank you to everyone that participated and helped out with the Annual Community Meet, it was really cool to see all the older kids working with our younger swimmers.

Registration Packets DEADLINE – THIS FRIDAY 9/15
We need to have all packets in by the end of this week. Anyone who hasn’t turned in a packet (or at least communicated to the office for special circumstance) won’t be allowed to practice next week.

Season Kick Off Potluck Party – Friday, Sept 22nd @ 6:30pm
We will be holding our annual kick off potluck next Friday night at 6:30pm. Each family is asked to bring an item to share and we will email out more specifics very soon.

Parent Meetings – This & Next Saturday @ 9am
We will be holding parent meetings this weekend and next. See below for the breakdown:
Saturday 9/16: Explore, Discover & NEW Parents
Saturday 9/23: Challenge and above

Team Equipment – Sylvia’s
If you missed the team fitting and need help, you can visit the Redmond location of Syvia’s Swimwear. The other locations don’t all have the team stuff available so either visit Redmond or order online (once their website is back up and running).

Team Group Parents Needed
Each year we have one parent in each group help organize team events and communication with other parents, especially new ones. Please email Coach Nick or Janet Kim if you are interested in being a Group Parent (must have been on the team for at least one year prior).

Sign-Up for REMIND! Text Messaging Service - https://www.remind.com/join/westcoasta. We have signed up for a FREE Text Messaging service for schools, organizations, groups, etc. that will allow us to send mass text messages out to everyone that registers for the service. Click the above link and register through your phone to participate. We will use this service to improve communication, especially regarding emergency closures and unavoidable last minute changes.

Happy Swimming.
-Coach Nick
