WEST Weekly 10/25

Dear WEST Swim Families,

 

We hope you have been keeping warm in the pool, we apologize for the cold water the past couple of days. We had a flooding here at the pool and we are slowly but surely getting the pool back to ideal swimming temperatures. Here’s a few important items to know for the week:

 

WEST Senior Circuit Meet – SATURDAY 10/28

Practice Changes for 10/28: 

No practice for Senior Elite Saturday morning. 

Accelerate, Senior and any Senior Elite not in the meet: Practice Saturday morning 6:30-9:00am

Precomp, Explore, Disco, Challenge: Normal Practice schedule

 

Halloween Party, Friday 10/27

Friday night we will have Pumpkin Relays from 6:30-7:00 pm. Senior and Senior elite will still have normal afternoon practices, all other group practices including Pre-Comp are cancelled. Make sure your swimmer is ready to hop in the water at 6:30, and the party will be after they get out at 7:00pm-8:30. This event is for Team and Pre-Comp swimmers. 

 

Bob Miller Sprint/Distance Classic- Bainbridge Island 11/4

With the heavy meet schedule in November and December, swimmers will have many opportunities to swim the distance events offered on Sunday. We believe rest is an important asset to a high level athlete, so with this in mind, the coaching staff has decided WEST will not be in attendance for the Sunday session for this meet. We will still be swimming our entered events for Saturday’s sessions.
